A Level Maths practice for Dubai sixth formers
A Level Maths at Dubai British curriculum schools is a step-up from GCSE — Pure, Statistics and Mechanics all in one course. MathsGradeUp gives Year 12 and Year 13 students dedicated practice for each strand and marks solutions the way examiners do.
- Edexcel A Level & IAL
- Pure · Stats · Mechanics
- Examiner-grade marking
The three strands, practised properly
Pure Mathematics
Algebra, functions, trigonometry, calculus (differentiation & integration), vectors, sequences and proof.
Statistics
Probability, hypothesis testing, the normal and binomial distributions, and the large data set.
Mechanics
Kinematics, forces, Newton's laws, moments and projectile motion.
Further Maths
Extension topics for Further Maths students — matrices, complex numbers and further calculus.

How this compares with a private tutor
MathsGradeUp is a guided self-study platform, not a 1-to-1 tutoring agency — there is no hourly booking and no human tutor assigned to your child. Instead you get thousands of spec-mapped practice questions, real past papers with examiner-style marking, and Study Coach, our learning companion, which explains each step on demand. Many families use it alongside a private tutor so lesson time is spent teaching rather than marking.
What you get
Exam-board practice, past papers, mark-scheme feedback, revision notes and progress tracking — available any time of day, with a weekly Study Coach credit allowance.
What you don't get
Scheduled live 1-to-1 lessons with a human tutor. If that is what you need, use MathsGradeUp as the practice and marking layer around those lessons.
Frequently asked questions
Is MathsGradeUp a 1-to-1 tutoring service?+
No. MathsGradeUp is an online, guided self-study platform for Maths and Science exam preparation. Students practise spec-mapped questions and past papers and receive examiner-style marking and step-by-step help from Study Coach. There are no scheduled live lessons with a human tutor, and many families use the platform alongside their existing tutor.
Do you support Edexcel International A Level (IAL)?+
Yes — Edexcel International A Level Maths (WMA), including Pure Maths (P1–P4), Statistics (S1–S3) and Mechanics (M1–M3) units.
Is Further Maths supported?+
