Terms and Conditions
Effective 21 August 2026 · SelexIQ Education FZE LLC (trading as MathsGradeUp)
These terms form a binding agreement between you and SelexIQ Education FZE LLC for your use of MathsGradeUp. Please read them carefully — by creating an account or using the Platform you accept them.
1. Who these terms are with
MathsGradeUp is a service operated by SelexIQ Education FZE LLC, a company registered in SPC Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us", "our", the "Company"). References to "the Platform" mean the MathsGradeUp website, applications and related services.
If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the Platform only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, school or tutor who accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of it.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
- One person, one account. Login credentials must not be shared, sold or transferred.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.
- Parent, tutor and school access to a student's data is granted only through our verified linking process; you must not attempt to obtain access by any other route.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, our Acceptable-Use Policy or our Safeguarding and Online Safety Policy.
3. Licence to use the Platform
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Platform and its content for your own study or teaching within your organisation. All other rights are reserved.
- Do not copy, scrape, mirror, resell, sublicense, publish or commercially exploit any part of the Platform or its content.
- Do not use automated tools to extract questions, solutions, notes or data, or to train any machine-learning model.
- Do not reverse engineer, probe or interfere with the Platform, its security or its infrastructure.
- Do not remove or obscure branding, watermarks or attribution on exported worksheets, booklets or PDFs.
4. Intellectual property
All questions, worked solutions, revision notes, cheat sheets, formula pages, software, designs, trade marks and branding on the Platform are owned by the Company or licensed to it, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Exam board names, specification titles and qualification names are the property of the respective awarding bodies and are used descriptively only.
You retain ownership of work you submit. By submitting it you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, display and analyse it for the purpose of operating the Platform, marking your work, producing your progress reports and improving the service in aggregated, de-identified form. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for aggregated or de-identified statistics that cannot identify you.
5. Independence from exam boards
The Company is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by or acting on behalf of Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Cambridge International, the International Baccalaureate Organization, College Board or any other awarding body. Predicted papers, practice questions and estimated marks are revision aids based on published specifications and are not official assessment materials, and no grade outcome is promised or guaranteed.
6. Fees, free access and refunds
Access is free during the current early-launch period. If we introduce paid plans, prices, billing periods and inclusions will be shown before you subscribe, and we will not charge an existing free account without your express agreement. Fees are stated exclusive of any applicable VAT or other taxes, which are added where required by law.
Where a paid subscription applies, it renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the paid period. Except where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, fees already paid for a commenced period are non-refundable. Digital content is made available immediately on purchase and, by purchasing, you agree that any applicable cooling-off period ends once access begins.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend or withdraw features, content or the whole Platform, and may carry out maintenance, with reasonable notice where the change is material and immediately where it is required for security, legal or operational reasons.
8. Your obligations
You must use the Platform lawfully and in accordance with our Acceptable-Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. Misuse — including harassment, sharing inappropriate material, circumventing access controls, or extracting content in bulk — is a material breach and may result in immediate suspension without refund and, where required, a report to the authorities.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations that are not expressly set out in these terms, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
Content is prepared carefully but is a study aid. We do not warrant that it is free from error, that it matches every version of a specification, or that using it will produce any particular examination result. Automated marking and estimated grades are indicative guidance only.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, opportunity, examination results, anticipated savings, or loss or corruption of data, however arising.
Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Platform in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you actually paid to us for the Platform in that period and (b) US$100. Where access is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability is limited to US$100.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its officers, employees and contractors against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Platform, your infringement of a third party's rights, or content you submit.
12. Third-party links and services
The Platform may link to third-party sites, resources or sign-in providers. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these terms, a risk to other users or to a child, a security threat, or a legal requirement to do so. On termination, the licence in clause 3 ends; clauses 4, 9, 10, 11, 14 and 15 survive.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and, where applicable, the laws of the Emirate of Sharjah. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Nothing prevents a consumer from relying on mandatory protections available to them in their country of residence.
Before starting proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly; most issues are settled quickly this way.
15. General
- If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms continue in force.
- A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
- You may not assign your rights under these terms; we may assign ours as part of a reorganisation or sale of the business.
- These terms, together with the policies they reference, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Platform.
- No third party may enforce these terms except the Company's group entities and successors.
Changes to this document
We review this document periodically and update it when the Platform, the law or our practices change. The effective date at the top of the page always shows the current version. Material changes affecting your rights are notified by email or by an in-app notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that date means you accept the updated version.
